Join the Ocean Academy OC1 Training Club this October for a comprehensive training experience designed to prepare you for the winter series races. This club combines the benefits of a structured training plan with in-person coached group workouts, giving you the tools, skills, and confidence to excel in the open ocean. Even if you don’t plan to compete, the Ocean Academy OC1 Training Club is a great way to train, so you can be your fittest and most confident on the water. *(10 Participants Min, 20 Participants Max)*.

What’s Included

  • Two Coached Group Workouts per Month

    • October Sessions:

      • Saturday, October 4th, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

      • Saturday, October 25th, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

      • *Sunday, October 19th, 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.                            *Post Off Da Couch Race- Bonus Recovery Paddle 

  • Comprehensive Training Plan via Final Surge

    • Paddle interval workouts

    • Strength workouts

    • Cardio recommendations

  • Expert Coaching from Candice Appleby & Grace Hardy

  • Focus on interval training, race prep, reading ocean conditions, and course strategy (tides, currents, wind, and water reading).

Location

All in-person workouts meet at:
Baby Beach – Dana Point Harbor
Please arrive rigged and ready to paddle.

Requirements & Recommendations

  • Must have your own OC1 and equipment.

  • Leashes required.

  • Be early. Workouts start promptly.

  • Must be able to paddle 6 miles in 90 minutes.

  • Must be willing to paddle in the open ocean.

  • No refunds for inclement weather.

  • No refunds after October 3rd.

  • A minimum of 10 participants must be signed up by October 2nd in order for the club to run in October.

  • If the minimum is not met, all registrants will receive a full refund.
