OC-1 Clinic w/Candice Appleby & Grace Hardy- Marina del Rey (Sunday February 22nd) PM Session

Due to popular demand, we have added a second clinic session on February 22nd! Ocean Academy is coming to Marina del Rey, thanks our friends at Ozone SoCal. Come join Dana Outrigger teammates and 2025 Catalina Crossing Champions Grace Hardy & Candice Appleby for an informative, user-friendly, 2.5hr OC-1 Clinic. This clinic is aimed to help you gain more confidence in your paddling by teaching you various stroke drills, proper body mechanics, course calculations, water reading and how to handle your equipment with ease so you have more fun on the water. (12 Participant Max).  **Must have a minimum of 8 participants signed up by Feb 18th for clinic to run. If minimum if not hit, refunds will be issued to all registered participants. 

Topics Include:

• Equipment management; proper rigging, seat positioning, etc.
• Stroke Technique; Catch, Power & Recovery phase drills, distance per/stroke drills for efficiency.
• Body Mechanics; Lat, Hip & Feet Engagement.
• Confidence & Stability Drills including; Bracing, and intro to Ama Flying.
• Time trial prep, course calculating, and reading water.
• Additional emphasis on how OC1 training & technique can benefit your contribution to an OC6 Team.

Location: Mother's Beach, Marina del Rey

Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to check-in. Give yourself ample time to park and prepare your equipment.
